Ulf Puhls is a Swedish composer and musician based in Karlstad, Sweden. He has been writing music since childhood, growing up with access to several instruments. The accordion and piano were his first musical companions, and the instruments on which he wrote his earliest melodies.

At the age of 11, he got his first electric guitar and began writing songs and lyrics. His earliest recordings were made on a cassette deck. In his early teens, he formed a synth band that found its way to audiences across the Värmland countryside and onto local radio, including Swedish P4.

In the early 1990s, Ulf began composing music for film and visual media. For several years, his music was featured in various television and commercial productions, marking the beginning of a continuing relationship between his music and visual storytelling.

Over the years, Ulf has worked with various music and artist projects, alongside periods of exploration and creative silence. Eventually, he began channelling his music through several different aliases — each offering its own musical identity and space for expression.

Enoen is one of these identities.

Through Enoen, Ulf explores the expressive possibilities of piano, orchestral and cinematic music, from simple and intimate piano pieces to grand, expansive compositions connected to cinematic and epic imagery.

Enoen also explores electronic music, creating atmospheric and melodic journeys that move beyond conventional genre boundaries. Some works are released as individual tracks, while others develop into larger bodies of work and albums.

Music for Enoen is ultimately about atmosphere, emotion and storytelling — allowing the music to create its own world.
